Is 844-240-4944 a scam or spam call?
These people think we're idiots...or helpless to stop their scam calls...unfortunately, in the latter case, they seem to be right, because no one, apparently, is able to stop them, judging by the the responses I see on this site. I get at least 10 calls a day from this number, and off course I don't pick up, but that doesn't deter them.
Criminal activity on SS number
Stated SS was suspended because of criminal activity
Was a robo message
Scammer has called repeatedly today. Keep leaving messages saying my SS# has been locked and I'm facing federal charges. Stupid scammer has called repeatedly with my "final warning". Wish something could be done about these scumbags. They have called every hour for the last 5 hours. Pro Tip, the Fed's don't call and threaten to arrest you, they just come get you.
Requesting SS number. Called two days in a row. Definitely a scam, no one should be asking for SS numbers - not even IRS
Robocall stating action against SSN and to call a federal agent at the number.
