833-861-4045 I chose *scam/fraud* even though the call was of the extortion genre. Since I reside in a state that only requires one party consent to record, I recorded the call. I am in the law enforcement career field and have been investigating similar calls so I checked into this number. It came from spoofed number - even though caller id shows it had been verified by my carrier. I wrote up my report and submitted it, along with the recorded call to IC3 and the FTC. My best advice for everyone is to not answer any call from a number that you do not recognize or is not one of your contacts. Monitor your voicemails and only communicate with people you know. Never give out any personal or financial info! Always verify first - not while on the call! Just my 2 cents.
