Identified as "Hartman" representing Barclay's Bank. Claimed to have my social security number and other info.
Wow they put a lot of effort into that voice mail that was left. It's always a scam when they use fear along with vague and outrageous claims of what they are plotting against you. Suspend my drivers license (huh) send this off to the county court services (uh ok) 24 hrs etc... The company names are always mumbled or spoken so fast you can't understand it. All that and they still didn't say what this matter was over. Like I'm going to tell them information and them not tell me what's going on.
They called me looking for my sister and went on telling me why there were calling. I work for a collection agency and the is a big time violation of the FDCPA. You cannot disclose anything to anyone other than them or their spouse.
Is it a debt collector or scam? I can understand why a debtor would call me but my 18 yr old son? He has no debt what so ever!
Got a call saying i have been notified for an investigation and if me or my attorney don't respond by today. The transaction is supposedly for theft of goods. Funny, when it got to where my name was supposed to be, there was nothing. I texted them back saying send to my mailing address certified and then told them they had been notified! LOL

Got a call saying they were collecting debt for Barkley Bank. Never heard of Barkley Bank.
