I recieved this email too. They are trying to trick u into getting them access to ur Federal Student Loan Acct.they are very good at it. They almost had me. They ask you for your email associated with FedLoan acct, then DOB. (Which happens to be the password reset info the site asks for) then they say they are sending u an email to verify your identity and could u plz read them the 6 digit code u recieve in order to proceed. If you pay attention and hopefully u do, you will see the email is to reset your password for your FASFA ID and from your FEDLoan Acct. The 6 digit code is the last piece they need to reset your password and claim control of your personal info. These people need to be stopped

I received the same email. It was by a Deana Satan. It was fishy as no agency name nor proper introduction was given. Format is horrid and there is no way it was from an actual company due to it being that badly set up.

I received an email about a federal program that helps people with their student loans. I have never had a student loan in my life, so I don’t know how these people got my email. Got an email from someone who added this phone number in. They supposedly help people with student loan payments. The email was grammatically incorrect and wasn't formatted properly either. Avoid at all cost. Do not give out any info.
