I have received 4 phone calls in the last 2 weeks from the number 830-202-2256. They are calling to collect on a bounced check from someone named Cody Whitt who used this number. I have had this number since October 2009. I have called them 4 times to explain that Cody Whitt doesn't have this number, I do. When I call back they identify themselves as EZ Recovery group from Jamestown, New York. Three times they have said my number has been removed from their database. One time the woman on the other end of the line simplly hung up.

They had the last 4 numbers of my SS#. Said I owed on a capital 1 CC that was closed out in 2014 for non payment.

They called me looking for someone else 3-4 times I finally got on the line with a person the last time they called and they said it was Global International but as soon as I told them they had the wrong number they said I would never get a call from them again. But also I have been dealing with paypal over a refund that they owe me and they said someone from their corporate office which is coincidentally named “Global International” would be in contact with me. Are these people smoking crack or what?

Usual bullshit robo scam trying to fear monger those with non existent debt with bogus ligation threats. What is really despicable is that they are suggesting their victims give them COVID-19 relief funds as a way to settle the "debt." Scammers are already the scum of the earth, but is a new level of disgusting.

Says they are suing for a debt, I do not owe any debts current on everything

Got a RoboCall saying there have been several attempts to contact me regarding a pending civil claims file in their office naming me (used the name I go by but not my legal name on my driver's license) as a respondent & is imperative that I (or my attorney) call today to avoid a default judgement against me. It said to press 1 to speak to a case manager or call 800-839-1639 & gave me a reference number for my case. I have no idea what this could be about, have 1 collections acct for a hospital bill from 2014 but other than that no delinquent credit cards or loans. The Robocaller did not give any information identifying who their client is or the name of the company calling me. Don't want to call back & identify myself, giving them reason to keep calling but also worried if someone else used my identity or something else.

Says I'm being sued for nonpayment, credit report says no outstanding debts.
