They change the number that they are calling from to look like a local call thinking they have a better chance of you answering. Does no good to block number because they use a different number each time, so they don't use this number again. Hope this helps!
Got one today it's supposed to be a call from Andrew Goldberg representing the Publishers Clearing House that I won two and a half million dollars. Blah blah blah. It was a voicemail. I didn't answer because my caller ID recognized it as spam. I think this has been going around for a while.
