received a call saying that they were my cable provider for AT&T and the they have adjusted the satellites and needed to adjust my modem. In doing so they would run a scan on my modem remotely. Then wanted me to pay $249.74 for the techs to come out to do the modem replacement. Asked me the TV name, the remote Model, and wanted me to give them the banking info for the Deposit. When I give resistance... She Assured me she was with the cable company and then put her supervisor on to verify all the discounts I was going to receive. When I said I had done a number look up and that I wasn't sharing any more info because they were not Legit, He panicked and Said "I'M SO SORRY!!" and hung up.
Said she was from my cable provider. Wanted to charge me 250.00 deposit on my cable box,
