Robocall. Claimed that $499 for computer services unless I called back to cancel. A scam or identity theft attempt. Disturbing part is initial reaction was to call back for more info ... which would have been absolutely wrong thing to do. Can see distracted or more naive individuals falling for it.
I called the number back because I thought i might be work related. Got a guy who says his name is Jack Anderson and "personal home phone" to call him tonight when I get home to my computer. He finally hung up on me!
Live in IL, same thing...going to charge my account $499.00 for Windows, but can't give me any information about what account will be charged, my name, address..nothing...SCAM
They said they are charging me &499 for computer security and I already paid last year I don’t even have a computer
499.00 deducted from my bank account unless I cancel right now by calling a number. I called back this same number and spoke to a very hard to understand foreign individual and told him it was fraud and now I have this number I will turn it over to my son who is a sheriff, which he is. Individual hung up after this.
Recorded voice claiming to withdraw 499 from bank account for microsoft.
Robo-voice. Said they were deducted $499 from our account to renew a computer subscription. Never heard of this and did not return their call!
