When given the name of one company stating I owed money from October 2020 and I told him that I did not know this company name, he presented another company name which I did not know. He stated that since I denied knowing either of the two companies, I would get papers to settle in court and he immediately hung up. Never given an opportunity to ask any questions.

Calls and I tell them I am not the previous owner of this phone number. He continued to call me the name of the former owner.
This number is associated with Security Finance in Allendale SC, which is a group of people who do everything from Short-Term, High-Interest Loans to income tax preparation. They call, unsolicited on a weekly basis to pester me to needlessly take out a loan. I've blocked their number, but they are still able to leave obnoxious messages. They are scammers.

This number was not from a call, rather it was listed on an email sent to me claiming to be from PayPal. The number is shown in the email as PayPal’s contact number. Because this message referenced a purchase I did not make, was addressed to an email address other than the one shown on my PayPal account, called me “Dear Customer,” and because my PayPal account is not even fully set up, I forwarded the message to phishing@paypal.com.
