Received an e-mail message referring to a ' .01 cents refund to a WALMART GIFT CARD that was due me. I was told to call 1-800-966-6546, I called the number and was told it doesn't work from my area. I have "HEALTH & WELLNESS PRODUCTS CATALOG" PART OF MY INSURANCE TO ORDER PRODUCTS FROM Walmart. PLACED AN ORDER WITH WALMART AND WAS GIVEN CONF#. THE MESSAGE I RECEIVED FROM 800-966-6546 USED THE SAME CONFIRMATION # THAT I WAS GIVEN WHEN I PLACED MY ORDER.
The number has been calling a few times every day. Just Googled & it says Walmart.com. I have used Walmart.com and had them call me back, when they call me back my caller ID says Walmart.com, this number does not. It is also not the same number Walmart.com uses. Suspected scam/fraud.
be careful, had a question online for walmart online. asked if i wanted a call back. I did and gave my number. They called immediately and it was a scam stating that my apple acct. was breached. Calling the real Walmart now!

Got call, caller ID said Walmart, I answered. Lady said, "is this xxxx" I said no, I am his brother... she hung up on me. Called back, was told it was Walmart.com, and this person said "must have been an order he made." In the background, a lot of laughing and noise could be heard, so I asked if this was a telemarketing company. He explained his phone is nearest to breakroom. Sorry Walmart calling would not sound like a teen run call center
