Got unwanted call from 800-662-3115?
JCP&L will not call or email to demand immediate payment or threaten an imminent shutoff of electric service. JCP&L will not demand payment via pre-paid debit cards. These JCP&L scams have thus far been reported by businesses. It would not be a stretch for residents to be targeted with similar scams pertaining to their home electric service.
Said they were JCPL and would give a 15% discount if no late payments within the last three months. Press one now, this is your last opportunity!!!
This number called me and when I answered and said hello they hung up.
Pre-recorded robo-scam. Claims to be JCP&L. Warns of shut-off due to unpaid bill.
Called stating that our JCP&L bill was overdue and they were going to shut off our service immediately. I checked with JCP&L and our account was paid in full. I tried to question the caller and they hung up on me.
