Number in e-mail purported to belong to a North Security Renewal. (800) 631-8947. I did get new computer and I may have started the Norton, but I believe I cancelled. If it was a yearly renewal it is about 4 months short of a year. I called the number and they said I had to share my computer so they could remove the software. I did do the join code but I became suspicious and unplugged my computer. They guy had a heavy accent and then he was talking to someone in the background in another language. They said it was all up and up and they needed to remove the norton software or the charge of $217.00 for the renewal would remain. I hope they didn't have my sharing permission long enough to do anything. Later I checked on my Programs and NORTON is no on my computer.
