P.S. I reported both #s to Georgia Power and the CSR said they are calling EVERYBODY with these exact same recorded cutoff threats, so they do NOT have info about my account or payments. She said she had already had 11 previous calls just today about this scam!

Using GA Power corporation name. GA Power should do something about it--including posting something on their website. Corporations need to stand for consumers and against scammers.
Recording on my voicemail, beginning cut off, Caller ID gave called # as 800-778-1192; recording claims to be from Georgia Power and says "to avoid power cutoff" to call # 800-619-3250. Note: I just paid my Georgia Power bill three days ago, one day after the due date. So I believe these scammers have hacked into and gotten access to customer payment records!!!

Automated call pretending to be GA Power. This is a warning that our power will be shut off unless we make a payment soon. Call 1-800-619-3250 to avoid having an interruption in our power. They even end the call with "thank you for using GA Power ". Scam - but very believable.

Same as the calls mentioned above, the beginning was cut off then stated to avoid disconnection call 800-619-3250, thank you for using Georgia Power making it appear to be from my electric provider. The caller ID showed Unknown Caller, however when opening the call the phone number listed is 800-811-9577.
