Is 800-588-0612 a scam or spam call?
Email claiming to be from McAfee security software just after I’d been looking at different firewall options. Claimed to be a $700 invoice going out of my checking account in the next 3-5 business days and thanks for my purchase. Any problems call the number. A bit of searching of the email it came from and then the contact number in the email bought me here... happy to see it’s a scam! Looked pretty convincing.

Got an email from SysTweak showing an invoice for $599.99 gave a cancellation phone Number of +1-1800-588-0612 (yes, 1800) came on-line and got this site. My cards are clear no charges. Bottom of email it says Regards (General Manager--Heba Ayesha; President-Company Defender, 203 New Jersy, LA (800) 588-0612
Received an e-mail from someone claiming that I had spent $999.99 - subject line: Defander Pro -Your order has been placed. SCAM! Fake phone numbers, etc. trying to get you to let them into your computer. BEWARE!
Received email phishing/scam from: reg.pelc@online.de stating I owe $999.99 for an order from Iobit Pro.and to call 800-588-0612 if I have a question or to cancel the order. No doubt they would ask to access my computer IF I called them. Be forewarned .. at first glance this one almost looked valid, until I looked at their email address, the amount, and slightly odd wording. Never click a link or call a number given in unsolicited email. If in doubt, get the company number yourself and then call or check the correct company website address and go yourself to check your account.
I received an email with a sender's address of" Iobit Pro " It said I was being charged $999.99 for IOBIT software which I had just bought, paid for and received for $19.99. IOBIT's USA transactions are handled by Avangate BV dba 2Checkout
I received an email from reg.jedn@online-home.de showing an invoice owing 999. I did not order the product so I called the number just to check it out. I man with a foreign accent said he would clear it up and insisted I let him log on to my computer, I refused. I called my bank and there was not any debit from my account so I put in an alert with my bank. I knew this was a scam first because I did not order the product, the man insisted to log into my computer, and there was no account activity at my bank. This is a sure sign of a phishing scam attack to get personal information.
