Is 800-551-2289 a scam or spam call?
Received several calls today from ohone number 860 902 6078 which is a Florida number. Claimed to be from Aetna and said she was Registered Nurse. Call back was 800 551 2289 and told to use the above number as extension to speak with her. Only when H freezes over will I call back and give information. Talked to Aetna who said they would call the numbers I provided and check. Customer Service agent had the nerve to transfer me to Matrix Medial where a RUDE clerk continued to ask questions after I told them to stop calling
Same woman repeatedly called, said she was a nurse, finally answered the phone and she wanted tons of information but could not give a reason why or for what purpose. Told her to please stop calling and hung up. Horrible trying to take advantage of people’s fears.
Called and left voice mail stating that she was a Nurse Case Manager needing more information. She gave a 1 800 for me to call back, including a 10 digit extension number. I'm assuming that she is claiming to be with Aetna Medicare, but I couldn't really understand what she said. It sounded more like RX Medicare.
Voicemail said they were from Aetna with important health reminder. This is a 3rd party number that leaves an 800 number, but then a 10 digit fraud number extension. Fraud pure and simple. I blocked them.

Scammers. Aetna/Coventry has instructions not to call my phone. These may be third party for profit businesses who've come to have my number claiming affiliation with Aetna, I traced one call back to such an entity.
Call on my voicemail saying they were from Aetna Insurance. They gave a 10 digit extension on the call back. When I called, it announced Aetna. When I connected to the extension they requested I include my Aetna member number. I called Aetna direct and was told that was not a call from Aetna. Based on this information, I assume it is phishing.
