Within minutes of arriving home from a bone scan at the imaging center across from Morristown Hamblen Hosp, my phone rings but caller hung up before I could answer. An hour later, a real person (female) calls from the same number wanting my social security number and other personal info, while mispronouncing the Hamblen name as Hamilton and repeatedly citing HIPPA as the reason she cannot answer any question I posed. I smelled a fish and hung up.
Was clearing to be with DirecTV. Once I told him I had no TV, just hung up.
Indiana male voice stating he was from Yahoo and my blocked email case by Yahoo case was referred to him. He proceeded to help me and said since I was not a paid Yahoo customer his services would only cost me 2.49 plus tax. When the amount appeared on the screen it read 249.00. I told him to change/fix it six times and he kept saying he only submitted it for 2.49. I begged him to recheck it but he sent it instead. Now I'm dealing with my bank and PayPal.
My Cell phone received an automated message from 800-513-1137, and claimed to be H&R Block. The auto-message left the 800-number in the message, and requested I call this call this number to take part in a survey. Please report this to the FTC.
This person "Ashley" called saying she was from the Federal Safety Compliance Center. Demanding to speak with our supervisor (by name). I told her he was not available could I take a message, very rudely she stated, "so he's not in today"? She repeated where she was from and that our company is in danger of a 7,000 fine for not being compliant. Extremely pushy and hostile, I did eventually hang up on her but she continued to call back. When she realized she wasn't getting anywhere she did give up.
