They called claiming to be from PSE&G. The person said that i was sellected for a discount for 30% off due to COVID. And they just needed my account number. SCAM ALERT!!!
Caller ID says PSEG Customer Service, automated voice says if I haven't missed a payment I can save 30% on my bill, then prompts pressing #1, #2 or #3.
The number comes up as PSE&G Customer Service. Knowing this was a scam I did not answer. They’ve called me several times over the past few weeks - I don’t pick up and they never leave a message.
Call came up as PSE&G Customer Service. When I answered I told them they were not calling from PSE&G. Man said that he was calling from JCP&L and wanted to know if he could speak with me for a minute. I told him no and not to call me again.
PSEG Cust Service is how the call looks. 1st time they called, said could save money. Thought was real so went through the steps and ended up with a live person. They said I needed my account number - I said at work and can't look up now, and you should have it if you called me. They hung up. Figured at that point was a scam. 2nd time saw PSEG (at work again) so picked up was about paying account on time (which is and budgeted). Hung up and now blocked the number.

Voicemail was a prerecorded message instructing me how to pay my utility bill by phone or risk termination of service.
Called twice. Number belongs to PSE&G but they did not leave message and showed up as a scammer.
Called claiming to be from PSE&G, was going to turn off our electric if not immediately paid. I hung up after telling him he was a scam.
