Received same type call, asking for the "billing" dept. I called them back asked for Ext 405 per the message my staff took & left a message on "Eric's" machine, with in 30 seconds a woman "Lauren" called back saying she missed a call from this number. I explained to her I was trying to return a call from extension 405 & she said she would help me. I asked her which business she was representing & she would not give the name of WHICH merchant services business she worked for, then was SUPER rude telling me she was trying to refund me & I haven't responded. I asked her AGAIN, which merchant account was she calling about & she said "I've told you & you're not listening" I told her I felt that she was a SCAM & unless she could give me the name of the Merchant Service account that I was speaking to I was going to hang up. She laughed at me & said - "Bitch I Told YOU!" Yup so I hung up on her.

Insurance telemarketing

I picked up the phone, clicked star 61, att made me aware that *61 automatically blocks a number from calling into your private residence. If you have att, its good to try it as it will help to eliminate pesky, unwanted, robo calls. Getting to the point that I click *61 more times than i have necessary telephone calls Seems like our world is getting very sad as we lose trust in most any way we turn.

The caller said he was with Trend Micro Anti Virus telling me I will be charged $99.00 for software and if I don't want it I must allow them access to my computer so they can remove that software. They said I had only 2 hours to do this. Then I received a call from 917-900-9365 who told me they were going to refund me $89.99 and wanted to know if I wanted it back in my savings or checking accounts. I told them I know this is a scam and that I was reporting them and hung up.

I got a post card that was very similar to what the above three people said. But the phone number on mine was 800-349-1092. It was a scam claiming your car's warranty is expiring to trick you to give money.
