got several texts from 55494, over a period of months. says I requested $7500 (or $6500) be wired. Call 800-343-3548 if I didn't request. Sounds like Phishing. The fon number is a link so could have some trojan attached to it.....not sure. The $$ amount was also a link. Suspect something nefarious.
I received the same as the first poster -> Received 2 texts from Fidelity Investment Security. Your password was changed. Didn't do this? Call 800-343-3548. Reply STOP to stop security alerts. Logged directly into my account so that proves my password did not change. Sick of phishers.
Received 2 texts from Fidelity Investment Security. Your password was changed. Didn't do this? Call 800-343-3548. Reply STOP to stop security alerts. The phone no. is a link. I'm sure that wanted me to call from the link so it would go back-end to the crooks.
got text : Fidelity Investment Security Your password was blocked.Didn`t do this ? Call 800-343-3548.Reply STOP to stop security alerts Dleted Text without reply , this is definatly a Scam
Received a text from 554-94. Said it was from Fidelity Investments Security. "We've received your bank wire request for $5,000. Didn't request this? Call 800-343-3548. Reply STOP to stop security alerts." Called the 800 number, which IS customer service for Fidelity. I don't even have a Fidelity account, so someone was phishing, trying to get me to confirm my cell number was valid. I called Fidelity to report it.
For what it's worth: This number is the customer service number that I call when I need help or information about my retirement account. I always call them, they never call me. I must have dialed it wrong and got an "out of service" message. That is when I searched the number to see if the had dropped the number in favor of a new one, or something like that. Tried it again and got straight through to Fidelity Investments. They are contracted with many very large companies to handle employee benefits programs. I am sure they have lots of other business as well, but I doubt that any of that involves making harassing marketing calls or fraud, etc.
