Got a call from 8002255618?

PNC FRAUD SCAM, SMS earlier same day with multiple high dollar purchases, then I received this call

April 11, 2025

Legit call from PNC Bank security I purchased airline tickets from an overseas vendor. PNC security had called from 800-225-5618. I didn't answer, but called my local branch first and they verified that it was a legit number. Then, I called 800-225-5618 back to the automated system to verify those purchases using my new credit card. I'm happy they did so...looking out for me and them. PS: Don't first answer calls from unknowns. Call back number to see if it is legit...as some scammers spoof legit phone numbers but can't receive a call back. PSS: PNC Bank owns several banks...They use different names. So, although you will say, I don't have a PNC card, PNC security may be calling you about your different name credit card.
