the caller wanted personal information. i refused so caller gave me a number to call back on. could not verify either number on internet search. did not return call.
Got a hang up call, Shows up as United Health Care. Not really them.
I received a call from (763) 656-5862 claiming to be United Health Care. I did not answer but they left a voice mail stating that they are, "calling from the National Personnel pharmacist program about an important medication information." They asked to be called back at (877) 558-1613 between 8am and 5pm central time. I did not respond back.
This number called identifying herself as a United Healthcare rep with a courtesy call. Just needed my full name or plan id number so she could talk to me.
Received call at 11:30 no one there until 11:34. Then caller spoke Spanish in prerecorded ask.
Identified as UHC pharmacy, wanting a call back to talk about "important medication information". The call back number was not a recognized UHC number. Normally UHC mails notices about change--not per phone call.
No message this time but have received voicemails. I have United Healthcare insurance and this does not appear to be one of their numbers.
Woman said she was pharmacist for United HC checking certain meds. She mentioned 3 I now take, knew my Dr's name -- discussed each med. Warned of possible effects of combining etc. It appeared to be a survey but not entirely without relevance. It could be UHC hiring an outside service (which this was) looking to cut back people's med payouts.

The caller had my call on hold, ringing once before being picked up. He made some mumbled identification, with "pharmacy" in it. He began by asking for my date of birth. I asked him to identify himself. He responded with the same vague title, and again asked for my date of birth, as confirmation of my identity. I again asked him to identify who he was. He became belligerent, complaining in a louder voice about having to answer. I then hung up. Never confirm what your complete name is, nevermind giving your date of birth.
