They try to get you to say yes after your name to then sign you up for a bunch of things. When they say "Is this [your name]", instead of saying yes, say correct. When I do this, they were trying to get me to say yes instead of yes. Them: Is this [my name]? Me: Correct Them: Is that a Yes? Me: Correct Them: So that is a Yes? Me: Correct Them: I want to be your friend, I just need a yes. IS that a yes? Me: Hung up and blocked number.
