Complete and total scam trying to guilt you into "settling" a debt with them. Alexis James from South West Mediation will call and say there is a pending civil suit, then get super aggressive about how they are going to file and take you to court. Once you call their bluff, they try to offer a settlement (read as Ripping you off for something you dont owe) and will continue to get aggressive if you mention lawyers, a certified notice of said suit and will start cussing at you. Total Scam, complete Frauds. Block, report and be done with them.
I received a voice mail message from none other than Alexis James, regarding a claim filed against "using my brother's name". I did not bother to call her back.
Claims to be Alexis James and tells you that you have a civil suit action against you. Clearly it is a scam. 702-389-3527 is the phone number.
Got a call from this number and voicemail was left by a woman name Alexis James. Stating I too was being taken to civil court for a magazine subscription where I agreed to pay $79 a month that in 2012 I made 3 payments then stopped. I stated I stopped because I filed bankruptcy. Which I did have a magazine subscription but not for that much. $79 a month is ridiculous! So I started I will reach out to my bankruptcy attorney and I will get back to you. Haven't heard anything else from her. This scam is very elaborate. Please ask questions and do research before giving anyone money. The story given to me was very believable but this person didn't know the bankruptcy laws. Once I started I filed at the time in question the conversation should have stopped and Alexis should have asked for my attorney's number. But no Alexis begin to tell me they weren't included in the bankruptcy so I still owed. I stated I don't think that's how that work but before I send a payment I will consult with my lawyer.
We received a call from a woman claiming that my husband put in for a magazine subscription for 49.99 a month back in 2002..which is ridiculous cause no teenager would pay that much for a magazine nor are they that expensive... And if we paid 1000 today that it would be settled. We asked for a case number to give to our lawyers and she refused to give and hung up on us.
