Complaints about Phone Numbers682-316-####

Caller asked me if my name was (something close to my name but not quite) then asked if my street was (ineligible so I said no), asked if my date of birth was May 21, 1985 (no) is the last four of my social #### (no).. then he said he must have the wrong person and told me to have a good day. I am kicking myself for answering any question at all, was just surprised and confused.

Getting calls from this number. My number is supposed to be protected, as it’s on the Do Not Call list.

Person called from the number 682-316-0394 stating that his name is Jeff Waters and he is an investigator with Premier Insurance, stating that there was a claim being made in my name with another person (never heard of this person) as a co-signer. Stated that he was just about to leave the office that it was almost 5pm where he was and left instructions to call him back tomorrow. Called this number about 5 to 10 minutes later and after numerous rings went to a voice mail for a "Mr. Jeff Waters" and to leave a message. No company name or title.

Is this Walter Winchell?” “Why are you calling? “Is this Walter Winchell?” “Who is this?” “I’ve told you who I am. Is this Walter Winchell?”... “On whose behalf are you calling?” “That’s an entirely different question altogether. This Portfolio Recovery Associates. I’ll call again.”

Constant calls - 2-3 times per day - no message.

No one there, phone number likely randomly generated based on my area code

A person called me with this number682-316-1678 told me it was a personal matter.I told them not to call me back if they can't call saying what it is..Just looked up this number it say Portfolio Recovery..a debt collector..I have no debt. I want this stoped and they called me on my cell phone.. Got my number maybe from Facebook???
