Is 630-509-1625 a scam or spam call?

Spam January 18, 2021

They've literally called three times in less than 6 hours. I don't answer, and they leave a 5-second voice mail of silence. I made the mistake of answering once, and it's a robocall saying they have an important message about my car warranty. My car's warranty expired 5 years ago, so this is, at best, telemarketing that breaks the law in at least two ways:
1.) Calling phones on the do-not-call list
2.) Using a recorded message (robocall)
It's also possible that it's a straight-up scam for people who do engage with them.

Phone number 630-509-1625 has been reported to the FTC by 2 consumers. All complaints flagged this number as a robocall or recorded message. The last of these complaints was submitted on March 2, 2021. All 2 complaints were reported from Illinois. All complaints originated from Geneva.
