Called about "existing utility account with AEP" for one of our offices, but would not answer what they needed, so told them no one was available
614-347-3548 Claiming to be Brandy from Columbia Gas.
Got a call from 380-210-7405 claiming to be Megan with Interim (sp) calling about my AEP bill. I said no thanks, not interested and hung up. She immediately called back twice in a row. Left a voicemail the second time stating "This is Megan with interim again. i do need to go over the info that has been printed on the invoice. Give me a call back at this 614-347-3548 and have a copy of the invoice in front of you"
Called claiming to be Columbia gas, asked to talk to our Columbia Gas Account Contact BY NAME. I repeat, she knew the name of our Account Contact at Columbia Gas. She has called and/or left messages at our office several times now, we called Columbia Gas to be sure, and they confirmed that she is a fraud.
Claimed to be DTE energy.
Called and insisted on speaking to a manager. Want another number where could be reached because important account information.
"Shelly" called asking for a manager and then someone that handles payroll. I confirmed no one is available and asked what it was regarding. She couldn't answer my question aside from "the existence of a business account". If you cannot name the business you are calling, the person that you need to speak to, etc. and try to insinuate a rush in calling her back you are most likely running a scam.
kept asking for person that does not work here. then wanted the office manager. called 3 times. hung up on them
