Got unwanted call from 614-219-3005?

User Comments

Started getting texts and phone calls from this number about 4 days ago. They claimed to be looking for someone named Oletha E. Shaffer. Their text stated I was late on my Verizon payment and needed to call them. A couple of hours later I started getting calls and voice mails from this number. Yesterday (2/9/22), I had enough...so I answered their next call which came through around 5:12 p.m. central time. The female I spoke with got nervous when I started asking questions. She transferred me to some guy who was totally rude....he wanted my pin number, my name, and get this...my phone number. He said he wanted to help me but he needed my pin. I told him I'm not going to give it to him because I don't believe they are Verizon. He became belligerent and hung up on me. That really says it all, doesn't it? I called Verizon and told them about this and whoever this is, is threatening to disconnect my service. I told Verizon the calls are coming from Hilliard, OH and the number was (614) 219-3005. Verizon stated the location and number was NOT affiliated with Verizon. Today, I received a text telling me that my phone was disconnected and I will need to make a reconnection payment. Really? Also, the first text I received from these scammers...I had kept for the purpose of getting an attorney. Today, it no longer exists in my text messages and I DIDN'T DELETE IT. But, I still have the VOICEMAIL MESSAGES! These scammers need stopped!

I just started getting calls and messages from this number stating it was Verizon Financial Services. The phone is a business cell and is registered to the business owner who has a large Verizon account.

They call 3 times a day, don't always leave a message. The messages claim to be Verizon Financial services. One message said my bill was late when it had gone through by autopay, and another said they wanted to verify my account, but they had the wrong name. I checked directly with Verizon through the app and they told me it was not their number.
