Incoming call this AM. Don't know anyone in PA, didn't answer. No V.M. left. Suspect phishing or scam call.

Said he was from Ameren but could not even read his script in English.

Unscripted request to call before legal proceedings

stated I need to call number back to avoid charges on my SS#

Call threatened that I was avoiding appearing before grand jury on undisclosed federal charges, claiming it was the office of Social Security. The quality of the robo was extremely low, and very grainy. The call supposedly originated in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Message stated I need to contact them due to a Federal Offense and this would be the final attempt. I hope so! This is the second scam call received in the past two weeks.

Literally just called me a few minutes ago...same thing happened to me as everyone in this thread

left message telling me that i will be arrested..

Seriously...the FCC needs to start investigating these distressing and harassing phone calls seeking to actively arrest and prosecute those who are presenting these types of intrusion. I can only imagine how older people may respond physically to such abusive and declaratory language...tragic!
