This number has been calling me every day, once a day around noon since November or December 2019. I answered once and they say that they are a non-profit organization collecting money in order to help police through political lobbying. They will urge you repeatedly to provide payment information over the phone even after you tell them you are not comfortable doing that. They will also offer to mail you information if you verbally pledge to make a payment through the mail after they do so. They apply a lot of pressure to either pay over the phone or pledge to pay later. The people taking payment sound like they may be located in another country, which was a bit jarring. I did not pay, but I got far enough to hear the payment or mailing spiel before I hung up. I'm not sure if this is a robocall or not, but I did notice long pauses while conversing with the gentleman on the phone. I chalked it up to issues with his hearing or something, but it honestly could have been a robocall. Listening to snippets of the recordings available for this number, it really does sound like the exact same voice in every call, so I'm quite suspicious. They are very persistent and it is annoying as all heck. Googling their organization does take you to a website, but I can't say whether or not they are legit. I've stopped answering their calls. If they want to reach me, they can leave a voicemail, but they never do. Do not answer calls from this number and do not engage. Block and report.
