I just got same call saying they moving sattilite and a one time fee of $1,193. Asked if I be using card in file. And asked again what was the # on file?, well aka Ben Walker gave a different last 4 of card #. Yea right. Not today
Caller told me that DirecTV needed to update my receiver because they were moving the satellite position for better reception. Asked for his ID number through Directv, gave me his supervisor and a name of Max Wilson, supervisor gave me an ID number and a phone number to call back, nice try will not be calling back.
This is a scam/fraud.

Frank Wynn was one on the supervisor and was very helpful gave me discounts and channels I demanded. God Bless You
Call name was Mike Walker was very polite and assisted me with my TV problem and I was very satisfied with him and he also gave me discounts he promised me
Caller told me that DirecTV needed to update my reciever because they were movingthe satellite position for better reception. Then said I would get a $40 credit on my next two bills. Then he said there was a charge for the upgrade. When I asked what kind of scam it was he started trying to berate me.
Caller claimed to be from AT&T DirecTV to upgrade satellite system and wanted deposit of $400 to activate but would get money back on monthly billing. He slipped up later and said DISH Network. Total fraudulent call. Also reported to DirecTV with phone number and called said name Mike Walker with an Indian accent.
I was told there's a software upgrade for my Dish network system. In site of my better judgement I gave him a card number. THIS IS A FRAUD!! Dish doesn't charge the customer for such things.
Caller said they were hired by the cable company to upgrade cable boxes and move the satellite. Wanted to charge our credit card over $300.
