I got a phone call from this number an they told me they where recording the phone call . An the phone call was for personal business. so why would they be calling me if it was for personal business they would be sending me a letter in the mail that's an illegal act for them to just record anyone's conversation without their authorization and if you say okay then then they got your permission to record the phone phone call. But without telling you anything and seeing that the recording it is an illegal act and they must contact you by mail before they can even think about calling you and the lady was rude and obnoxious and I told them that no I'm not the person and they hung up so just keep that in mind when you get phone calls like this they can be scams they can be all sorts of things so just be weary this day and age people wear out to do whatever they think they can get away with and if you get in the authorization by voice to do it then they can get away with it so don't ever give them authorization to record things without your consent and you calling them. Them calling you.
I answered the call on my landline when this number called. First said the call would be recorded, then They asked for a member of my household and I asked who was calling they said it was a personal business, is this and they said the name again, and could only speak to who they asked for. I said no, I was not that person and they said they would contact them at a later time.
I called back from a 607 exchange and the operator said it was a personal business matter and they require my Social security number BEFORE they would tell me the business name. Sounds legit. :/
As I have a 585 area code how is this coming through? I called back said it was a personal business matter and required my number. If it was legit it would never require the 1 before 585

Just got a call from them. Didn't answer, as it popped as "potential spam". I will address that in NY, it is legal for them to record the call without your consent. NY is "single party", which means you can record anything you want without telling the other party. Also, the 1 before the 585, that's how most of my calls come in, even though I have a 585 phone number. I am on Cricket, and live in 315, so unless I have saved the number, I always get the 1-585.
