One of MANY different numbers that "deposit" voicemails (phone never rings) about student loan forgiveness or refinancing. It's a pre-recorded message made to sound like you contacted THEM about your student loans. This newest smarmy tactic of bypassing the phone call and just dumping a message directly into your voicemail is the latest trick telemarketers are using to get around the "Do Not Call" registry & rules. And so far, there is NO WAY TO BLOCK THEM. Your call-blocking app or settings on your phone will do you zero good. *Note: US Dept of Education (the dept overseeing student loans) states: (a) they will NEVER call you out of the blue, and (b) will never charge for applying for refinancing or debt forgiveness... which you can do on their website. Any legit communication from Dept of Ed will always be in writing.
