I could not get into my email and started to get calls from 571 210 4948. Caller ID comes up as a robo caller. The person calling has a thick foreign accent and is hard to understand.
Automated robo-call stating that recipient of call is under investigation and needs to select option 1 in order to speak with an investigating officer. The automated message was worded in such a way to imply certain doom if the recipient chose not to speak with somebody. SCAM!

On 10/28/2021, I received a call from a woman asking me to confirm my address which I did. When I asked what was the nature of her call, she refused to answer and repeated the need fir me to validate the last four digits of my SSN. I refused and before I hung up, I asked to be removed from their calling list and if this scam continued I would report the number to FCC. I have a Texas area code and have noticed the frequent calls I am receiving without cause.

I got a call from a rude man asking me what my name and address is... he said I was on a recorded line and I am refusing to tell him if I was me and if the address he listed was mine. Since he said I refused on the recorded line he hung up. This was after I repeatedly asked if this is a debt call. SMH
Same sort of thing, though didn’t explain anything. Asked for me by name. Then asked for my daughters date of birth. Not knowing WTF I asked first what this was about and the guy hangs up after saying something like “thanks we will proceed”. I call back and answering system says something like Phoenix we are a debt collection agency reads back my called I’d and hangs up.

They tried to download some malware to your computer.

This phone number belongs to a thief. This phone number was placed on Craigslist along with an advertisement for an apartment which was being offered by someone else at four times the price. The ad on Craigslist wanted people to transfer money to a bank account, and said that the owner would send the keys to the renter via FedEx. The whole thing was a transparent scam.
