They claimed to be calling from Regions Bank to see if a check for a large amount was legit. It was not. They eventually verified recent deposits. Then asked that we enable alerts and asked for our phone carrier. They then somehow hijacked our phone number so that we are not able to receive calls. We then discovered that amounts were transferred between several accounts to the one they were inquiring about. We believe we got accounts frozen before any withdrawals were made, but whatever the case they caused a whole lot of misery and time-consuming grief!
