Is 520-518-7375 a scam or spam call?
They called and left a message saying they wanted to verify information for someone (who is not me) and gave a case number to have for reference when returning the call. Sounds like a scam these types of calls are happening more and more. Don’t fall for any of them!
I just called stating they are from the court pretrial services.I asked if I could get documentation mailed on what they are talking about and she said you have been warned and hung up.

They threatened me when I asked what the name of the company is and the lady even said , I hear kids in the background and guess what, they won't have a mother much longer. If anyone receives any traceable information from them like ane mail etc please email me at ajo4151@gmail.com . I have a degree in IT and can track them down. Fake ass people.
Have received this call several times. Call is not intended for me. its for someone else. Asking to validate some information and to call 208-534-6203 with case number to resolve matter. I called and told them they are calling for someone else and to stop calling my phone number - they just hung up on me.
Called me multiple times claiming my sister owes money but using my number to call constantly. I changed my number they started calling my new number looking for my sister.
Received a voicemail saying I have a legal claim against me and I have officially been notified. Complete scam.
"This message is intended for... I received a Fax order regarding a complaint that was filed against you. I have been retained to serve you with documents to appear at either your residence or place of employment.
I you have questions... or call our office at 401-298-8006. When calling please reference case number blah blah blah blah. You have Officially been notified."
The person they are looking for does not live at this residence. No idea where they got my phone number.
Tried calling the number (Warwick, Rhode Island). Got a recording asking me to leave my contact information. Didn't leave them any contact info.
Since when do process servers call to let you know you are being served?
And is service by telephone even legal?
Believe this to be a third-party debt collector using scare tactics to collect an old debt from someone who once had my phone number.
To my knowledge, debt collection is handled through the small claims court and if you are being summoned to appear, it will be done in person by a certified process server and their will be official court documents stating who filed the complaint, when and where to appear, and the amount owed.
My guess is that this is a bad debt from many years ago by someone who once had my phone number. The debt was likely written off by the original company and sold for pennies on the dollar to a third-party debt collector who is apparently using threats and intimidation to try to get you to pay a debt you do not legally have to pay. Just my educated guess.
I have Also been getting calls for an unnamed person from Municipal Services Bureau, a debt collection company based out of Austin, Texas, that has had a number of complaints filed against them for violating the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, or FDCPA.

This scam is still going strong since 2019. I just got the same threatening voice mail as everyone else from the 520 number, giving a 503 number to call back about my "case." There's no way to stop these people from calling? I imagine some people would be very scared to get a message like this.
