Same happened with me on Jan 5, 2021. Same message. I was suspicous and Googled the phone number they left for me to call back and "claim my 2nd place prize." Nope.
I got a call that I won 2nd place in PCH too. I never entered PCH for a prize! Big red flag! Got to be a scam!
Got the same call from someone claiming to be Evelyn from Publisher's Clearing House, that I won a 2nd place prize and to call back as soon as possible. The incoming call showed New York 516-268-2051 and the call back number the recording gave is 516-200-6498. Searched a question if PCH calls and notifies winners. Their PCH Fraud page said they never do that. Only by registered mail for lesser winners or the grand prize by the prize patrol just as they show on TV. They said anything else is a scam and they never ask for fees or taxes to claim prizes.
The call was from # (970)-489-2257 with a voicemail from a female saying I won and welcome to the PCH family. Then requested I call back asap to # (516) 200- 6498 to get more information.
Supposedly from PCH but it sure didn't sound like Ed McMahon. Spam scam

Received call to inform me that I won second place in PCH. Sounded more a real nice lady on the voice mail but I'm not calling back...PCH won't contact you that way and make you call them on your dime.
Informed me that I won second place in PCH but it's a scam please do not call back and do not give personal information!!
An automated message said that I won 2nd place in the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes. Yeah, I didn't.
