Complaints about Phone Numbers509-524-####

Call, no message left from: 509-524-9249. Multiple calls same number during past weeks

hangs up once answered. calls repeatedly if you don't pickup

I was curious as to who this number was (509-524-9228). In Googling the number, it showed the number being located in Tacoma, WA. (253 area code). Calling the number, I got a woman who said she was calling from the Social Security Administration and wanted to verify my data on their records. She asked if certain info was correct (and they were) I then asked her where she was located....Fairfax, VIRGINIA! I responded with I have already taken care of signing up for Medicare Advantage...to which she abruptly hung up. Tried to phone back to that number two times and got a recording that the number was not in service!!!

Call states the caller is from a law enforcement agency,and the call is being recorded. Since I have begun screening the call, which leaves them the option to state WHY they are calling, they hang up. I previously hung up on their recorded " this is law enforcement" pre recorded message. 509 524 IS the prefix and correct formatting for Walla Walla LE,.and the prison ...

Pretended to be SSA "in Washington" (yeah, wrong Washington, but nice try)
