SCAM ALERT! Received a voicemail from this (probably spoofed) number, a Google search of the number on my Caller ID brought me here - a Google search of the requested callback number brought up a website showing the voicemail I received was word-for-word reported by several others THIS WEEK ALONE. All indications are this particular scam is very in-depth, as the scamming agency already has personal info (full name, employer, family members' names, correct account numbers from previous debts), even SSN numbers!!! Voicemail: "Hello my name is Karen McNeil, you were not available today, and this message is from regards to a complaint notice to your attention. Please immediately contact 844-772-2456, again the number is 844-772-2456 to update your address or contact information. After a third failed attempt, I am required to direct further attempts to your HR or Payroll department on file." This number called twice today (05-23-19), both times at 9:54 AM. Only once was a message left, and by the end of the business day (5 PM) they had not made a "third failed attempt." Anyone receiving this number - DO NOT call back. Others have reported that the caller is working for "CRC" but this Karen has no idea what the letters stand for. Sometimes they're a paralegal team, sometimes they're a "legal department," sometimes they're an "attorney's office," and sometimes they refuse to tell you whom they are working for. When pretending to be an attorney's office, they will not name the firm or any attorneys working there. When asked for any documentation, they insist it can only be done via Email. But of course, the vague wording of the voicemail should be enough of a red flag! One user on another site reported this number was auto-blocked by their cell phone...
