Got a text from this number 470-206-1062. The text read as follows in all caps: Responsible Party: (My name), Due to your failure to respond, A voluntary default is being entered on your behalf for $4345.84! Commencement Date: 09/16/2024 We are aware of any inconvenience this may cause so we are on standby for any questions (470) 206-1062. I called this number and spoke with a Brent Michaels who claims to work for Legal Services Experts and that he is not collecting the debt he is calling on behalf of the Processor, whom he later names as Richard Carmichael. Supposedly had a pay day loan with a company named Timely Payday Loans (I never heard of them). Mr. Michaels said the original amount of my loan was like $500 but b/c of late fees, interest, and accumulated charges. He claimed he did not know who the lender of the loan was, but he was not collecting the debt. I found it strange b/c Mr. Michaels continued to speak with me and mentioned several different debts amounts that this "Judgement" was for, he never named the amount that was in the text message. Mr. Michaels contacted me today, Monday, September 16, 2024, and continued to attempt to negotiate the amount down but never lower than $1,000. I believe both Brent Michaels and Richard Carmichael are scammers and are trying to scam thousands of dollars out of people. I do not plan to speak with him again. I have blocked the number (470) 348-5067 which is the number he had called from this is a GA number. I cannot find any information on the payday loan company; I don't think this company ever existed.
