These are debt collectors calling to collect on a debt that was discharged more than 10 years ago. It starts as a robo-call and requests you press 1 that connects you to a live debt collector. Not only do they violate FCC regulations by calling before 9am, but they are deceptive by making it sounds like they have a case against you and that you done something illegal. I received more than a dozen calls in the span of 3 days so it’s beyond harassment as they call my mobile phone at my place of business. Unfortunately you cannot block them from calling.
This was an automated call stating they have a case against me, that it is time sensitive and I am required to respond.
Also reported they have a case against me. If they were reputable, they would send a bill to my address, with an account number, a phone number to call, etc. Ignore these calls. They are fake, and if they're not, don't answer and wait for them to send the (so-called) bill. Don't get scammed. These calls used to bother me. Now? They don't because I won't answer my landline (have it to fax). I will "not" give my cell to any business regardless (not even my doctor's office). I only give my cell to my friends and family. I give businesses my landline number. I have the ringer off, let the answering machine answer, and when I hear the same old spam call. I don't listen to them anymore. I just delete them. Of course messages from reputable businesses I listen to. Also, I created one email that is for friends and family to email me and another that I give to all businesses (including my doctor, dentist etc)...that way if they want to sell it. Go for it. There are ways to protect yourself. Including, making sure to have a different (very complicated) password for every account.

They said they have a case against me. They won't even articulate the debt. What they don't realize is that I pull my credit every month from the bureaus after the hack. I have no debts, no collections. This is a harassing, strong arm scam. Don't give them your info.
