Got a call from my own phone number, not the first time, claiming that my IP address had been compromised. HAHA. I asked for a call back number, and when I asked if I would reach an actual person, or if it would be a dead line the hung up. Could hear lots of people in the background. When I called the number that was given, could again hear lots of people in the background. They answered claiming to be Microsoft, and asked what the call was regarding. Told them I just received a call, and I would like to know the same thing. They said I must have the wrong number as this was for incoming calls only, then hung up.

This scammer Called my 90 yr old dad pretending to help with computer issues and then Encouraged my dad to go to target to buy gift cards! We called police and target! Target prevented my dad from making the purchase. Police arrived at parents house to take report. Middle eastern jerk hung up on officer. Beware of scammers!

masking themselves as Microsoft, saying there was a problem with my IP and license. Showed me a simple error log saying those were all errors that they could fix. Gave me a bogus Microsoft ID even, and this phone number. Said dont' call the 800 number, this was a "dedicated support line". We are on a single company IP and the number was masked with my own company email address, like I was calling myself. Don't give them anything! Wait for the class action and arrests in India, like the last time I got hit with these scams. lol keep trying guys.

wanted me to open my computer to fix

Sounded like a telemarketer and needed answer within 48 hours, that our computer has been compromised and Microsoft needs to get computer ID to have changed. Lots of telemarketers in background. Gave me name of Peter Pichoff. I don't trust it!!
