Got a call from 423-467-6460 after receiving one from the same person on 844-260-0825 claiming to be my credit card company whom I had been on hold with for over 50 min. at the phone number on their website. They asked me about the fraud on my account and then wanted me to start verifying information. When I confirmed 2 pieces of information and they wanted me to update my email address I ended the call
said they were Citi bank and left call back number, call back number requested SSN number
got a recording on my phone to call an 888 number about my application for a cit account she gave a long reference number and then a security code 1427.I blocked the number .
Female caller identifying from CITI FRAUD DEPARTMENT. She knew my name and asked me to verify two recent charges, which I did. She then thanked me, said goodbye and hung up.
Got two calls from 423-467-6460. Saying that a person was trying to open a Shell credit card. He asked for the last 4 #'s of my social which I did not give.
Got two calls in a row. Ignored both.
Seems to be a legit CitiBank number. I applied recently for a credit card with CitiBank. And they called me to confirm I did in fact apply for the card. I was super skeptical, even now i don't know with 100% certainty. But I did in fact apply for a CitiBank credit card, I don't think a spammer would know thaty. And when I called back an automated message said that it is CitiBank, but that the number is not set up to receive inbound calls.
The call was dropped as soon as I answered "Hello."

It's citi bank. I called the number back, it says Citi bank. Then I called another Citi bank number and asked. The lady explained it is part of there system of security to give a call back.
