Said his company purchased a company I'd done business with in the past and tried to pressure more money out of my for a vacation package. Refused to take no for an answer or to remove me from the call list.

started with a phishing email sent from an email address from my school domain, posing as an email from my school employment services dept. the name of the department wasnt the name my school uses, but i didnt notice that right away. i submitted a form via their website and just got postal mail from them. it included a check meant to bounce (i didnt cash it), and vague instructions. contact information only included a name and phone number. george wilson, mba (415)854-0849 this is fraud. i'm mentioning all this because circumstances can cause people to believe something that is too good to be true. your gut is right. throw it away.
Caller claimed to be calling on behalf of power company, yet when questioned, revealed that the purpose is to 'pre-qualify' for solar installation and services. Thus, it's a sales call. Unsolicited sales calls are illegal if the person is on the no-call list. The sales person claimed that the name of the company is Green World Pro.
