An automated response telling me that there was an important message for my (deceased) grandmother would play if I pressed "1." I did, and it seemed like someone was sitting silently on the other end of the line. The person then broke out into song, singing something like "double life, double life" before hanging up.

No one has time for these type of calls. No o e should have to turn their ringer off to avoid hearing the unnecessary ringing.
