This number IS Capitol One and is completely legitimate. This number shows up on caller ID every time I log into my bank online and they need to confirm it is me.
I did not answer the call. It left a voice mail saying "Hello, this is Capital One calling with your temporary code. Press one to hear your code." I'm guessing that if I press any key, they know they have a live person and then try to get your credit card# or something.
Claimed a PC subscription was to auto renew in 24 hours at $199 and to cancel call 404-388-9783.
