I had the nearly the same thing except it was a woman, they called 3x within a minute while I already was on the phone. I answered and got the same scam about they want a house in our area and want to buy.
Call first time with a male voice that fumbled with phone and said,"I'll call you back". I thought it was my son. Called back about 15 seconds later with a female voice going by the name Christine and said," this question is out of the blue but my partner and I are looking to buy a house in your area and wanted to know if you wanted to sell your house." Nope.
