NOT A SCAM!! This is a legitimate Social Security employee working from home. When I answered to tell him I planned to report him (based on the information here), I thankfully let him get a word in before I hung up. I had faxed something to the local office a few days ago and he helped with that without asking me for ANY personal information. I would have caused myself a hassle if I had refused his call. Hope this helps.
