It was some sort of medicare thing. I've been getting this call daily for weeks, with an empty message on my answering machine. So I decided to answer it. I purposely did not say hello, but rather hi, I'm here. When she asked if I could hear her, I avoided saying the "yes" they like to record as evidence I agreed to something, and I just said I could hear her fine. Then she hung up. The caller i-d said Mt Vernon Iowa. There is no medicare facility of any sort in Mt Vernon! Total scam call.
