First, I answered the call...wrong move. “Hi this is —- would you be interested in selling your house located at —-“. No! One week later a text with smiley faces. My tip. Don’t answer!
"Hi (name)! My name is Kate and I would like to speak with you about potentially buying (address). Did I get the right person? Thanks! (smiley face)(smiley face) Spam for sure.
I got the same text from "Kate" with my info in the message. Not responding back.
Just got the same text from "kate" wanting to buy my house

Got a text from 317-279-6827, claiming to be someone named "Kate" interested in buying my house (with my name and address in the text). I called the no., and first time someone picked up and said hello and gave a name, then immediately hung up as I said I got a text. I called again, and just got a strange tone and then silence. When I texted to back to ask if legit, I got an immediate response that was clearly automated saying that they are looking to buy fixer upper and/or rental properties in my area.
