Said my service would Female caller said my electrical service would be disconnected in thirty minutes. I was instructed to press 1 to speak to their collection dept!!!! Utilities don't work that way. THIS A SCAM
A woman called claiming she was from AES said my service was going to be disconnected if I didn't pay $488 over the phone to her. I told her she was a crook and a liar. She hung up on me.
A "robot" called and told me if I don't press 1 to talk with a live person, my electricity would be turned off within 30 to 40 minutes.
Stated they were IPL & on their way to shut off my power.

Did not get a call but I received a letter to my house saying that I now have an electric service at an address I’ve never been associated with. They gave this number to call for any discrepancies. The letter looks identical to an actual AES letter, has an installation ID, the correct PO Box and street address, and they clearly know where I live. I called AES from their website to confirm and we deduced it was a scam, these people even used the same automated phone line as AES. Use the number from their website.
